Current Research & Development
C3 is committed to the development of an ongoing research and development programme that ensure the ongoing development of products that meet thee needs of patients with skin disorder. C3 is adding value to the basic science work of the McComb Foundation through its own research, development and clinical trial programme.
C3’s laboratory is currently working on a number of product development projects that will facilitate enhancements to the existing product line and the introduction of a solid pipeline of products.
C3 is working to develop technologies that result in the use of 100% autologous (the patients’ own tissue) raw material, eliminating all foreign material from the culture process. This work is currently funded by a Biotechnology Innovation Fund (BIF) grant from the Australian government.
C3 is also in the process of developing a Cell Delivery Device (CDD), which uses a unique spray nozzle that optimises the viability of cells that are sprayed onto wounds.
Whilst the laboratory works on product development and process validation,C3 is working to implement a comprehensive clinical research programme. Hospitals and clinics are being recruited to participate in clinical studies that broaden the application of C3 products. The data collected from these research studies will be used for peer review publications, presentations at major meetings and in marketing related projects.
Recognising that its intellectual property provides significant market advantages over its competitors, C3 is implementing a range of strategies to protect its intellectual property base, including patents and trademarks.
C3 values input from scientific and medical colleagues who have comments or ideas regarding CellSpray®, its technology and current or future indications. Click here to email C3 with your suggestions for research.
