CellSpray®
CellSpray® is an innovative solution of cells grown in the laboratory from a small sample of the patient’s own skin. CellSpray® is sprayed onto injured skin in order to provide a rapid epidermal cover, promote healing and optimise scar quality.
C3’s unique culture technology has resulted in the ability to produce large amounts of viable cells from a small biopsy in a fraction of the time required with traditional culturing techniques. This technology has enabled the treatment of:
- Large burns and tissue injuries.
- Extensive scar revision to improve the look and function of the skin.
- Large skin defects such as giant nevi.
Advantages include:
- Improved wound healing time and scar quality.
- Reduced culture time enabling availability from day five of biopsy.
- Site-specific biopsy a fraction of the size traditionally required.
- Reliable wound adherence.
- Minimised application time and ease of handling.
CellSpray® has been used in over 1,500 patients worldwide to treat a variety of tissue injuries. CellSpray® is generally used to treat wounds in excess of 30% total body surface area (TBSA), can be used alone to treat partial thickness injuries or in conjunction with dermal reconstruction technology to treat deep dermal or full-thickness injuries. Market data indicates that approximately 30,000 patients could benefit from CellSpray®.
